So i've checked mechanical timing, all is well. The marks on the belt and the covers all line up. Compression is 160-170 across all 6, so this reaffirms my belief that the long block is fine.I tinkered around with the timing light, and found very good results with a setup like that of Drk93TT's, and was able to set it properly. Now it runs very well, but still a lot slower than I think it should be. I was able to pick up an old school StrapOn solus scanner that could hook into the consult port and view live data & check various actuators, turns out my idle valve is junk, hence my idle issues. As well as a lean-sticking oxygen sensor. Once I replace those, its off to the dyno. This car runs smooth and consistent. It might just be slow, like every other NA.
